Mexican Wedding Favors
You must be the type of person who loves something festive and colorful, and at the same time, likes some touch of conservatism and tradition. This is the outstanding characteristic of Mexican-themed weddings.
Of course, you must have already chosen a Spanish-type church or villa to host the wedding ceremony and reception.
The menu should have also been arranged to serve Mexican food such as tacos, enchiladas, and other spicy dishes common in their traditional cuisine. For the drinks in the reception, the Mexican traditional drink should have also been prepared. Moreover, the Mexican wedding cake is a rum cake covered with white icing and this should not be forgotten to be included as this is the central attraction of the reception.
The wedding gown and attire of the entourage should have also been matched with the theme, by incorporating ruffles and laces.
Other decorations should also harmonize with the theme, so you must not forget to make the table covers, napkins, centerpieces, and other decors as colorful and vibrant as possible.
However, to push it further and make the wedding a little bit more fun and enjoyable, the organizers and the couple must not forget their Mexican wedding favors for the guests. One of the traditional gifts that Mexicans offer their guests is the Mexican wedding cookie, which is wrapped in colorful tulle and ribbons. They may be placed in hand-painted potteries to make them more attractive. Furthermore, common Mexican wedding favors include small bottles or containers which have spices and other Mexican seasonings. The guests would surely love these, not only because they are food items, but they would also get to take home and have a lingering Mexican feel that they could bring with them even after the wedding reception.
If you are the type of person who values practicality and would want the guests to take home something that would not be consumed and they could keep for a long period of time, there are also other Mexican wedding favors available for you. You could give out Mexican ceramics and terra cotta pots and containers that they could use at home.
All these you could find ready-made in a local specialty store near you or you could have it arranged and ordered initially for you to pick-up at a certain date and time. If you also feel that you could prepare these Mexican wedding favors yourself, then by all means! The guests would truly appreciate the hard work and effort that you have exerted to make their experience as memorable as how you want it to be.
