Mexican Wedding Dress
A couple who wants to give their wedding a little twist can prefer using the Mexican wedding traditions. Wedding dresses form part of these traditions.
It is not necessary for a bride to be Mexican for her to enjoy a traditional Mexican wedding dress. These dresses simply make a bride unique from other brides. A Mexican wedding dress is very similar to other wedding dress styles of the West, but is unique enough to make the bride stand out on her very wedding day. Even if a bride is just looking for a wedding dress with a Mexican twist because of heritage, a lot of options are available to her. Mexican wedding dresses influenced by the Spanish tradition can be classical but can be very fitting in modern weddings.
Mexican wedding dresses are generally white and have full-gown length like the many Western wedding gowns. Huipil is a Mexican wedding dress that is long and has short sleeves. It is one of the most traditional wedding dresses from Oaxaca. It is designed with very detailed hand-embroidery of geometric shapes or flowers. The Huipil is Mayan in origin, but still carries the Spanish twist in the embroidery. It is a perfect dress for destination or beach weddings because this gown is cool and airy, but very beautiful and unique. This wedding dress can be well-complemented by a Mexican wedding shirt called guayabera. Guyaberas are white and they are also perfect for a beach or destination wedding.
